Bike Home Chicago was founded by A. Jordan Rothschild to integrate sustainable transportation and real estate.
Jordan has worked in the real estate industry since 2014. Starting as a licensed Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA), he managed 200+ unit condominium associations in the River North and Gold Coast neighborhoods. His duties included developing annual budgets ($2.8M+), overseeing reserve study planning, and managing the vendor bidding and contract negotiation process. Jordan completed over half a million dollars of capital improvement projects including: roof preventative maintenance (PM), driveway/membrane replacement, riser replacement, window replacement, boiler PM, and tuckpointing to name a few. He has also worked to develop a request for proposals on elevator PM as well as an elevator modernization contract. Jordan's property management experience gives his clients an advantage when buying or selling a condo or co-op apartment. He now focuses on assisting buyers, sellers, and renters in their real estate needs.
He started riding his bike to work in 2014 and became hooked. He later transitioned to offering biking as a method for touring homes. He enjoys sharing the city with clients on bicycles.
He leverages his knowledge and experience in the industry to support and advise clients. He treats every transaction with the care and attention he did for his first home. Jordan is also the elected board treasurer for his condominium association. He believes examining the association is of equal importance as the unit.
An alumnus of The University of the South in Sewanee, TN, Jordan holds a bachelor's degree in psychology with minors in political science and religion. He began his professional career working as a project manager for a $1.2 million mixed methods psychological research study with 3,000 quantitative and 200 qualitative participants. He knows the importance of data analysis and brings this knowledge to his real estate business.
Jordan is an active member of Buena Park Neighbors and the Chicago Market Co-Op. He also supports Tomato Mountain Farm CSA and Collective Resources, Inc.
